AD VITAM

LUCIEN DE TOVAR | 2025 | 07:49 | NETHERLANDS | 16mm

Ad Vitam unfolds in a remote field where a small group gathers for an unconventional funeral. At the center of the ceremony stands a transparent greenhouse—a fragile mausoleum for a fading memory. As a woman delivers a poetic monologue, daylight slowly gives way to dusk. When night falls and the mourners disperse, a lone figure steps forward to paint the greenhouse black, methodically erasing every surface until light, memory, and structure vanish into darkness.
